Background

The development of oil heat treatment has been supported as soon as in 1998 by the ADEME in the framework of a joint research at the CNRS (LMGC) and at the CIRAD in Montpellier by the current chairman of OLEOBOIS.

In order to meet the high expectations of the market for more environmental friendly products, the process for lumber treatment by oil heat was subjected to a technology transfer by the company OLEOBOIS, which was created in 2004.
